Welcome to the Al-Anon and Alateen website of Northern Virginia.

Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems.

If your life has been affected by someone else's drinking, you are an Al-Anon or Alateen member, or a professional working in the field of alcoholism, there may be items of interest on this site for you.

The Al-Anon Service Center of Northern Virginia is currently offering several opportunities for service for members. We are seeking persons who would like to get involved with day and night volunteer shifts, literature management, group records, and technology.

The Service Center is open Monday through Friday, 12:30—4:00.

Al-Anon's Purpose

To help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Similarly, Alateen is our recovery program for young people.
